Food Hygiene Awareness – Basic early years food hygiene – Basic food hygiene. This Early Years Food Hygiene Awareness / Early Years Food Hygiene training course will benefit anyone working in a school or setting where you prepare, cook and serve food to children.
Whether you are preparing snacks, preparing milk feeds or just cooking up some biscuits with your children, Food Hygiene is an essential part of what we do. Whilst policies are no longer required under the EYFS the burden of maintaining a safe environment for the children in your care is high on Ofsted’s agenda and practitioners need to be aware of their responsibilities concerning food hygiene.
This essential Basic Early Years Food Hygiene Training Course short course will enable early years practitioners to safely prepare and handle food and be aware of:
- Food-borne illnesses, bacteria and prevention techniques
- Contamination, spoilage and prevention of food poisoning
- Effective hygiene
- Food storage, HACCP and the law
Early Years Food Hygiene Training and Food Hygiene Awareness Course
We aim this Early Years Food Hygiene training course at all practitioners, whether they prepare snacks, dinners, serve food or cook with the children. It meets all the statutory requirements without the expense of a fully accredited course.
This course can be adapted for delivery to Schools that prepare food with their children.
