This Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) course is aimed at nurseries and pre-school practitioners, playworkers, owners, school leaders, managers and teachers both new and experienced in order to support their knowledge and understanding in this important safeguarding concern.

This Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) course will enable practitioners to:

  • Describe CSE in line with current research and guidance
  • State why young people may be vulnerable to CSE
  • Consider possible signs and indicators of CSE
  • Recognise how attitudes and beliefs of professionals may inhibit the identification of young people at risk
  • Identify sources of support locally and nationally

Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is a major safeguarding/child protection concern in the UK today. Research tells us that CSE and grooming happen in all communities and to many different types of children and families. This bitesize session will raise practitioners awareness of this important topic.
