More about Chris Langdon-Casey

Chris’ career in early years started at the age of 16 through the family nursery, located in Devon. Helping out after school and showing a passion and natural gift when working with the children. Having completed his BTEC Level 3 in Nursery Nursing, he then pursued the next step and went on to complete his BA in Primary Education with QTS at Roehampton University, Surrey.

Chris has worked in the nursery profession for many years now, ranging from single site operators, through to some of the largest international groups. This has afforded him to develop skills across marketing, human resources through to financial. This allowed him to support operational goals in such roles of Regional Management or Operations Director.

Over the years, Chris found a new excitement within the early years profession. On completion of his Awareness of the Business Coaching Programme along with furthering his skill set in Life Coaching, he found something that he enjoys and enabled him to support him teams further. Through offering coaching to either his team, peers or even his seniors. He was able to support them to identify the road blocks, seek solutions and then drive that commitment to putting plans into action. A goal is only a goal without a plan of how to achieve it.

Chris appreciates how challenging the early years can be, but also sees the hard work every day. The rewards speak for themselves, through achieving great outcomes for children and setting them up for success in later life. He thrives on supporting the teams to create exciting and enabling environments. He sees it as a huge compliment to the team when he is ignored. to him, this means the children are engaged, happy and thriving.

With the vast knowledge gained over the years, Chris has now taken on a new role as an Ofsted Inspector. He wants to really understand what it is like for a child in the setting, what is their journey and how are the key people supporting both the care and educational needs.

One element that Chris thrives on, is supporting culture. Driving a culture of support, empathy and a desire to want to achieve more. This is driven by the leadership team, displaying best practise and offering the bespoke level of support the individual team members may need.
